Lunch at Harpers Ferry where the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers converge, as do the states of West Virginia, Virginia and Maryland. A very old and historic town - could ramble for hours.

Travelled via the pretty Catoctin Mountain area. We have had some great drives through the countryside, getting off the highways when we can.

Ran out of time and had to miss a few ...

... prices, the large stock of older homes in nice urban neighborhoods and relative lack of growth in area compared to bigger cities suggest it should be possible to get a nice house in the city at a far more affordable price than in hipper towns. Even the lofts along river are truly in converted old warehouses and industrial buildings rather than modern construction built to meet demand for that kind of living.

... speech in 1775 at St. John's Church, and the passage of the Virginia Statue for Religious Freedom written by Thomas Jefferson. And, of course, it served as the capital of the Confederate States of America, during the civil war.

Richmond Fun Fact: Since 2005 Richmond and the area of Carytown hosts an annual Zombie Walk! Hey,what more could visitors want!

... Then we went to have this buffet dinner and OMG it was about 5 times bigger than sizzles it was so massive and I ate so much haha. Then just went back to the hotel and got my washing. Just packing everything up we have an early start tomorrow when were off to savannah, luckily the weather will warm up quite a bit, going from -4 to 10 ...
