... horses, sheep and goats and beautiful hills along the way. We stop at Roblar winery with its beautiful patio overlooking the valley. What a place to be. Beautiful to taste wine here and eat some prosciutto and crackers with it. We continue our pretty drove all the way to Solvang and drive to El Refugio road to visit Sunstone winery, it is completely ...

We cruised around Santa Ynez Valley. First stop of course in Los Olivos, which looks a lot nicer than in 1982. On the way to Solvang we bought some strawberries and mangos. We stopped at the Santa Ynez Mission and enjoyed the view over the valley. Courtney and the girls were waiting for us at Grappolo in Santa Ynez. A great Italian place. We enjoyed our lunch before we went back to Solvang to look at ...

And of course Mom was happy with the fried chicken (one of her favorites). It feels great to be "back home ...

... Haha, gullible :) Got settled into the hotel and went for a walk to find some dinner. All dad wanted was 'Aussie- where's all the chops and potatoes at?!' Mum and dad ate at a near by pub, steak was $15 but dad said was actually slightly smaller than typical Aussie sizes. Ryan and I ate at an Italian restaurant 2 doors down; had a lovely three course meal which we hadn't intended on. Bruschetta, tomato gnocchi & seafood risotto, and my first taste of cannelloni - ...

... they were having a dance after the dinner. Not a single parking space was available in the big parking lot, so we had to park up close to the RV.

This was a great day and we enjoyed the wine country, the weather (which was MUCH warmer as we headed inland) and each other's company.

We decided to do some wine tasting this afternoon, so I fixed a late breakfast….ooohhhh, we're down to one tub ...
