We have enjoyed our stay here and it has been real quiet except for the weekends, when all the locals take advantage of the scenery and weather. It is good to see people out and enjoying nature. We will be moving on tomorrow to Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, Va.

... out TV but being an internet junkie like I am is tough and our hotspot is Verizon which is non-existent. Oh well I will survive!!

The pictures that you will see first on the blog are from our last few days in Harrisburg, Pa. We attended an Indian Festival downtown which really wasn't much. But Hey!! it doesn't take much to entertain us:))

Fog, floats and flooding

We drove to the Ridgeline Drive today but we were fogged out. Boo!
We decided to try again tomorrow.
We headed back to camp and did a few more floats down the river (some phone photos were put on FB already). I love doing that!
Then, very suddenly, the skies just opened up and within less than two minutes the berm behind us was washing through our campsite. All of the camp sights were under water in no time!
I have never seen rain this hard this ...

I drove into Charlottesville today to pick up some things and let me tell you...the view along Skyline Drive was A-MAZ-ING!!! I really wish Mike was with me to see this!
When I got back we decided to do a float down the river behind our camp sight. So much fun!!

Old Rag

... rolling in and it seemed likely to rain. Old Rag is not a great place to be in the rain as wet and slippery rocks would be treacherous. So we quickly ate our lunch and continued on Saddle Trail, down from the summit and past Byrds Nest 1 Shelter and Old Rag Shelter.
