India is known for its extensive, if sometimes maddening railway system. Unfortunately, the route to Mysore isn't served by railway so instead we took a joyous ride on a sleeper coach. We had to cross the Western Ghats mountain range. Despite the air conditioning, I felt a bit hot under the collar as our bus itself overtook three lorries in one go on a switchback.

21st Sept – Palolem, Goa (best day yet :)
Fewer people made it to the organised breakfast today – some of them feeling a bit worse for wear after copious amounts of alcohol. We of course made it and after about an hour headed to the beach. Again it was cloudy but I was ready to get my tan and I did. The day was AMAZING – just constant games and banter and fun.
