More time with the Hupps
We wanted more time with family and friends in Tucson. One more round of thinning out stuff we don't need, picking up a few things we do, and getting Bertha ready to head east. It's been great to have time with the family and long talks. Oh and Julie learned how to shoot a rifle and a hand gun including a bit of self defense lessons too. Colin said it' a bit like his EMT. Good skills to have but you hope you never have to use them.

So I decided to hang a right rather...

Total miles driven since we left Anchorage: ...

Then it was off to see Fort Lowell Museum . Enter the world of the military life on the Arizona frontier . When it was first established in1866, on the outskirts of Tucson, it
was called Camp Lowell on land

Is it a bird?
... Fe we travelled to Tucson via a UPS depot (yep Mr G had indulged his habit of ordering airplane parts and books to be delivered to our hotel room in advance of our arrival - sneaky that), an aircraft museum that turned out not to be and the boothill cemetery in Tombstone where we paid our respects to Billy the Kid.
Just to unpick all of that the journey was horrendous - miles and miles (around 400) of interstate. We'd get past one ...
