As the day has brightened up and the sun was back to shining in all its glory, swarms had already flocked to the parklands to set up camp ready for the show that night, and entry to the area was closely monitored by guards protectively searching for alcohol in bags. ... and shops. The street was very very busy, and just full of typical drunken, vulgar, European backpackers.

A short drive away is a lovely picnic area and another beach which is quieter and popular with the hippies. We had a picnic, met an interesting Scots man (who we hope to never meet again) and had a good time playing on the beach.

Surfers is not somewhere i will be going to again, but glad that i had the chance to see it.
