... return home. We were thrilled to say the least. We stayed at the Alpine Lodge in Mt. Shasta, solid establishment and certainly one of the most well priced hotels in town. This has been a nice relaxing place to zero and catch up on all the blogs entries that need attention. Thanks Mt. ...

The tight camp woke up around 7 with a zest in our eyes. That always happens on town day. Town day gets people motivated. We made short work of the miles til lunch, and then I swear we moved faster still the second half of the day. That got us down to Interstate 5 by late afternoon. Also, I had brought four of my crystals from home that I placed in the creek near the healing pool, so they could be charged with the energy of the healing waters.

We had a great time hanging out and ...

    Hiking to the Castle Crags

    ... br>
We decided to hike to the Castle Crags today because Mount Shasta had some clouds over the summit. We drove about 20 minutes down to Castle Crags State Park. This hike is about 2,300 feet elevation gain in 2.7 miles, so it is very difficult. I knew it would be hard, but not as hard as it was.

The hike was constantly uphill, not too bad at first, but it got very rocky toward the end, with some sketchy parts where ...
