      Slight hiccup, the check engine light came on in the motorhome!! After some debate we drove 100km to the nearest Ford Dealership in Corning. They took it in straight away for a 1 hour diagnostics checkup! We had to unhook & rehookup the car so we were on our way within ...

      -As I arrive to Weed CA I notice a huge museum with many historical things. I was in need of gas so I stopped at an Arco station to fill up. My plan is to have my next stop in Eugene OR, to visit the university of Oregon. I am hoping to visit at least 3 colleges on my road trip.

      ... camp site with in forest area however a bit dusty but otherwise ok. Walked into town for expensive Thai meal. The town is a full of hippy types that want to be off the beaten track but not totally it has a really laid back feel. Northern California is like this in a few places.

      Trains ensured we had a disturbed night.

      ... Mt. Shasta including a full blown tour of what's-what and price inquiries at all the promising hotels. We ended up staying at the Alpine Lodge, one if the more hiker priced and quality establishments in town. By the time we checked in and set our bags down it was only 6:30 pm. Plenty of life left on a young night in a new place. And guess what? We were across the street from the local Chinese restaurant! Afterwards we detoured ...
