Lots of sitting today. We rolled out of our hotel at 7:30 this morning headed for the Russian border. We had some of the best roads so far with paved two lane highways most of the way. After arriving at the border we handed over our documents and waited. After a few minutes they told us that we had to pull over to the side and wait. ... All in all a worthwhile experience and a good history lessons for the children. Elske was most fascinated by all the tanks and machine guns outside the museum.
After some indulgence in the Sokoladnica (yes the chocoladecafe), we continued our trip in Western direction towards the Ukraine. Hopefully tomorrow we will reach the Crimea where we plan to spend a week or so before exploring the Western parts of the Ukraine.
