Aussi bleu que la mer noire
... la saison touristique est bel et bien terminée, tous les transats et les parasols ont été rangés. Nous avons de la chance, la plage est pour nous et il fait toujours très beau. Le sable est fin et blanc et la mer est claire, on pourrait encore s’y baigner.

The sun strike is over
... We had planned on celebrating Emma's birthday with her today but unfortunately she has been in bed ill. I'm sure you will join us in not only wishing her a Happy Birthday but also a speedy recovery.
Spirits were revived this evening as the sun has reappeared. It looks as though we will be back on the beach tomorrow. The copious bottles of sun cream in every factor possible are on standby!

It's batten down the hatches tonight!
... today. The girls (and boys) were thrilled to decorate bags and puppets. Each one wanted a photo taken with their work of art. The girls especially loved, as all girls do, sticking on jewels to their new accessory. Sometimes the kids don't have the patience to sit down and do a craft as they want to quickly move on to the next thing. They often fear on missing out. Hot, hot, hot
... the waves. As the week goes on they have become more brave in their wave endevours. The problem being that the SC team also have to brave the depths as the huge waves crash into these little kids clinging onto us, dragging us all under! As we resurface there is just enough time to catch a breath before we are hauled under again. It is great fun though and everyone, including the SC team, don't want to get out.
