    ... that trip separately.

One of the absolute highlights of the week here? I found the banana roti man again!
(See 2 nights in Bangkok entry)

There he was - right there on the beach all this time. I had been walking past him without realising. Good job I found him near the end of my stay here or I would get so fat I would need more than one seat on the bus back to Bangkok. Mmmmm! heaven on a plate. Ha ha Bryan, I've got banana roti - you haven't! :-)

Our 4th dive is down to a local wreck which is pretty cool, esp as you can see all the guns, but the visibility isn’t that great and there aren’t many fish about. ... we have seen in 'The Book'.
We are led up some steps through tropical greenery to have a look at it and are impressed with it for 500 Baht a night. There's a beach right at the bottom of the steps and the scenery is so beautiful in contrast to Bangkok.

Phidel and I get into the sea, which is clear and warm and look around us in awe.
We only get out because I can see a dog going through my bag! I rush over to see its a really cute playful puppy ...

... back, said goodbye to the dog and started walking north, toward a more populated area of the island.

As soon as I crossed the rocks onto the next beach, Ao Tub Tim, I found exactly what I was looking for. Tubtim Resort had a big front patio and common area right on the beach with tables to eat at, Lenny Kravitz playing over the loudspeaker, speedboats racing by in the water and people laughing and playing games on the shore. So I marched up to ...
