          ... word as boredom during the whole trip. Just the opposite in fact, the hardest part was deciding what option was the best most of the time.

          Huge thanks to all the friends I met with on the way, it really gave a special dimension to the trip seeing known faces in unknown places. And thanks for the hospitality too. Also for the comments and support through the blog, I've enjoyed them immensely.

          Christ this is starting to sound like a bafta-award winning speech, so ...

          On Saturday morning we headed off for a visit to Falmouth and the National Maritime Museum. Bruce had set the GPS and had told it that we wanted to avoid toll roads. Off we went and not far into the trip Chris decided that we were heading in the wrong direction so we pulled over and re-checked the GPS settings and re-programmed it to include toll roads (we had not found a toll on a road yet). Off we went again and eventually got to the motorway ...

          So the journey begins!

          after a week long of 21st birthday celebrations, leaving dos and saying goodbye to loved ones..my journey finally begins! very emotional morning saying goodbye to mum and dad, brother and his girlfriend and my cousins..still trying to get over the fact that it's real! soo many different emotions!! excitement and nerves being the main ones! goodbye England! see you next ...

          ... Church. As we left this precinct we saw a sign pointing to the oldest surviving house in Plymouth, situated behind St Andrews Church so we went to have a look. The house, called Prysten House, was built in 1498 as a merchant’s house and now contains a restaurant called The Greedy Goose.

          Back at our hotel we checked in and are delighted to find that our room overlooks Sutton Quay an area with a marina, a number of restaurants and The Mayflower Steps.
