      Arrived safely after a great flight from Australia. Traveled business class with Singapore and get 10/10 for service and great food. Transferred to Lufthansa and again good service but beds not as comfortable. First day just wandered around Manchester and got our bearings. Busy place and very industrial. Stayed at the Crowne Plaza and loved it very central just walked to everything. ...

      ... size and then a step down to a table to eat at and door to a tiny back yard. Got up some narrow stairs (with no hand rail) a small bathroom on the right with a huge tub, one bedroom with double bed and one bedroom with twin bed. Both beds pretty much fill up each room. Outside in an "outhouse is a freezer and a washer/dryer. Cute little place. Heat is supposed to come one twice a day but so far we haven't seeen it come on. A little chilly, but bearable.

      ... much, so we made tea, and when it stops raining we set off to the beach to watch our first sunset this holiday.
