... Herritage site.It was a scorching hot day, so we slowly took our time to meander around the famous sites:
- Se Cathedral - old and worn around the edges but a grand cathedral with impressive interior.
- Basilica of Bom Jesus, a stunning church wirh beautiful paintings and the resting place for St Francis Xavier (his body is actually visible in a glass coffin!)
- Church of St Francis of Assisi - a small quaint church but with beautiful examples of paintings.
- Monastery ...
... of the day over in Old Goa. Once 'Rome of the East' Old Goa is now an area of crumbling cathedrals. I wandered around the ruins and enjoyed the warm day but was still wandering around with both my backpacks!! Oh well, better save cash!!
That evening, I travel back to Panaji and board a bus headed for Mumbai.
Next stop, Mumbai.
