... called Melk. The guided tour today was to be of the Benedictine Abbey up on the hill. It was a strikingly pretty yellow color which I thought wasn't typical for an Abbey. Then I found out about the museum they had there, the school that housed 900+ students, and the extensive library, and it made more sense. It was a beautiful place! ... last night we had a seafood buffet, and then a quiz in the lounge. Our cruise director showed us pictures of cities around the world, but it wasn't easy. It was very emotional to witness the site where approx 122,766 and 320,000 lost there life in a horrible way.

I forgot to post some photos from yesterday so please see them at the bottom of this post before moving on to today.

Today we left from Vienna with a private guide and driver to tour the Danube River Valley. Our guide was Megan, who was from Australia and she was lovely. We had a beautiful, sunny day again, so I was thrilled. It was pretty hot but I will take that over clouds and rain any time. We began our day in Krems, a quaint town ...
