... home from the street (via Sinicata.) When we returned in July, the hawk count had increased to 3. It sure seems like the number of pigeons have declined, we wonder if the hawks are eating the young or getting into the nests. Pat saw one of the hawks carrying a lizard. I'm sure the hawks think they taste great but they don't look very filling. We are hoping to add to our bird count as the years go on.

This morning started with a silent march into the Commonweath War Grave's cemetery in Cassino. The march was followed by a memorial service attended by local dignitaries and Italian students.
