I was pleasantly surprised flying into Gatwick. What I saw beneath me was flat countryside with little villages and towns dotted around! There was a definite hint that it had rained recently, as some of the paddocks were flooded.

... fun comparing notes. Day 19 - Genoa, Italy - For those of you with a scorecard, we were supposed to be in Portofino today. Last second change in plans brought the ship to Genoa. We are very pleased that we came here instead. It was a magnificent city to stroll though. We went into yet another cathedral, this one built in 1118. It was awe inspiring. ... this time but a shower was a real pick me up. I have to say the food in the British Airways lounge is excellent - way better than Qantas lounges. As we weren't leaving till 9.30pm we had dinner and I caught up with my blog.

We boarded at 8.45pm and got settled for the flight to Dubai. We're on the Qantas A380 and we're to leave at 9.30pm. Time goes by and the Captain announces that there's no water pressure and the engineers are looking at it and he will keep ...
