Just before the bridge we turned around, the current was ridiculous! We paddled hard to a shallow bit where we went to see the pelican, he wasn’t to happy so we continued on. The current was so strong we were on the same spot for a while, then had to cling on to a boardwalk for a little rest, the wind blowing in our direction wasn’t helping. Janice and Steve were already there, having got there just 10 minutes before us. It is a lovely caravan park right on the Bellinger River. We set up camp and went a fish and chip lunch just up the road at Mylestom. We sat around and enjoyed catching up over a few drinks. It is great to see them ...
