... wheelchairs flying around, I think if you went to see the doctor with a cold they would proscribe you a bottle of ticksy ticks and a motorised wheel chair. We got some fuel which were told by Europcar to only put unleaded 95 or 98 in which turns out is horse ****, we are driving a Hyundai not a Lamborghini so you can bang any old **** in it and the premier fuel is 10 cents a litre more expensive. For the last week or two we have been slowly heading south.

We stayed two nights at Cotton Tree Maroochydore to get the weeks washing done and to have a nice long shower. Enjoyed this caravan park - would go back there. ... there were really good. It had free surfboard and canoe hire as well which was good. We met back up with Renée and Sebastian again too. We went on the canoes down the creek which was nice on a hot sunny day. There were a few big splashes that scared Callum because he thought they were a croc.. ... heard of such a thing, but when we get back to the visitor centre there's a stuffed one in a flora and fauna display.

That excitement carries us along for a couple of hundred yards more before fatigue again kicked in. We are then reminded that this is rainforest. It starts to pour. We have waterproofs and a picnic which we eat under cover at a picnic area before returning to the visitor centre, to recover with an iced coffee, what else !
