... a walk up the hill on Mutton Bird Island. We had spectacular views of Coffs Harbour and surrounding area, the huge ocean and a bonus of dolphins and whales in the distance. We then did the grand tour of the town and all that was on offer. After a late lunch we took a drive to Sapphire Beach where we had planned to stay. On comparison we were pleased we had picked Sawtell as our base being the better overall location. Headed back to base and a lazy afternoon and sundowner.

At a Kathmandu Outdoor shop I ...

Just our luck all the electricity in the town was gone so everywhere had closed up early, even mcdonalds was closed! eventually we found a takeaway pizza place that still had electricity so ended up eating that in the campervan with a bottle of wine! Next day we ...

... beanie for fun, as it was quite a windy day, and when the lady told me it was only $5 I bought it. What a good move that was, as later in the day we went on a 3 1/2km walk to Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve. This is an incredibly long and high trek, that wouldn't have been possible if I hadn't had that beanie, as well as my polar-fleece jacket. Brrrr! At times, it was so windy I thought the beanie would blow away too!!! The funny thing is that I have bought more winter gear ...
