    ... seen otherwise. There are some really nice areas…..and some not so nice. It was an interesting tour and we learnt a lot more about the Beatles than we knew before. The tour took a bit longer than it should because of the road closures and it was getting quite late by the time we got back to our car.

    Liverpool has a lot more to see than we have time for but we’ll be quite glad to get out of the city again when we head off ...

    ... has been renovated recently inside and is amazing. Planned in a spiral - a bit like the Guggenheim in NY, or the Seattle library, with an egg shaped dome in the ceiling. Really beautiful - and very modern. And the adjoining round building is still in classic form by contrast. By afternoon it was fine and even sunny.
