    ... separate directions VERY early on a Sunday morning. I was grateful for this timing because I had to drive straight through the centre of London, in a strange (manual) car and lots of road changes.     ... for me. Downstairs I tried on jackets and jumpers and finally left the shop 500 poorer but with good quality walking gear which should last me for the rest of my walking life. Weighted down with two large bags, my back pack and a dog on the lead meant that I wasn't going to be able to walk back to Clitheroe so I caught a bus.

    ... and we had a second stop there. Again it was very busy with loads of tourists and their big camera's. We like Bowness as it has a number of shops both independent and chain and the narrow streets and Lakeland architecture is very pleasing to the eye.
