Hello again, friends! Today, a lifelong dream was fulfilled: I made friends with elephants. These are some of the most incredible creatures on this planet; they're smart, friendly, lovable, and terrifying all at the same time. And we got to spend a day with them. Crazy. Just crazy. So here's how the day went.

When we arrived in Hua Hin I got taxi to hotel and checked in, the room seems okay but the bathroom isn't very nice and there's no kettle or hot water so going to be hard cleaning my eye! feel a bit lonely again, but hey oh only a week to go!! This is a place where there are lots of tigers around in pens (not a massive fan of this but was told it was worth a visit) and you can go and touch them. Apparently they aren't drugged they just feed them every two hours to keep them lethargic and happy which I believe as they were pretty ...

Overnight airplane ride (10 1/2 hours) over Europe & Asia. The kids fell asleep and did great. Arrived in Bangkok, but no photos allowed at the airport. Our driver was waiting for us, and after 3 1/2 hours we arrived in Hua Hin. Long day! It is very hot and humid, and John is hoping to melt some pounds off. We stopped at a 7 Eleven. It has been years! The villa is beautiful and well appointed, and after cooling off in the pool we went to ...
