We woke up early in the 4am hour, showered collected our toddler and things and headed up to KCI. Without event, we departed at 7am to Minneapolis. With hardly enough time to use the bathroom, we connect to our flight to Cancun, which went immediately nowhere as the water tanks were leaking water before we left the gate. Ate dinner on Quinta Ave at a placed called 100% Natural. They had several vegetarian options and quite frankly the place turned out to be better than I expected for the area. After dinner we …

After Carmen's nap we went out and fed her some …

We heard thunderstorms several times at night. In the morning it was still raining lightly. I walked a few minutes down the road to the public beach and found it empty except for one local family. I walked back and fetched the family and we went down around 8:45 to enjoy the empty beach. No sun sunscreen necessary that early with overcast clouds.< …

      Mexico Day 4: Coyoacan

A travel blog entry by b.d.gibbens on Mar 07, 2013

Reno recommended we visit a town called Coyoacan. We used the subway to get there which was only 3 pesos each (30 cents NZ) then the light rail. Visited an awesome car museum with lots of old cars well preserved, then a taxi through some very tight streets to arrive at the Diego Rivera museum. Diego Rivera is a very famous artist in Mexico, however this museum was his masterpiece and dedication to portraying the history of Mexican culture through ...
