    First thing, we tried a swim in the pool adjacent to our bungalow. This ended instantly in failure, either because the water was too cold or because I put the baby in too fast. We went back to the room, reset, and then headed down to the beach again. After an hour we came back and took a nap.

    We heard thunderstorms several times at night. In the morning it was still raining lightly. I walked a few minutes down the road to the public beach and found it empty except for one local family. I walked back and fetched the family and we went down around 8:45 to enjoy the empty beach.
