... there were lots of Spaniards with full sets of clubs, trolleys and all the gear!
We carried on until we came to a sort of natural park. There was no entry for vehicles and the path was very steep. A runner passed us and went up and down the hill 4 or 5 times!!.

We avoided joining the French peage and went around the ring road at Beziers. We had been this way before when we camped at Les Peupliers at Colombiers, right on the Canal du Midi. and knew there were garages and supermarkets along the way. We stopped at a Casino supermarket ...

... counter, we later found out they were just there for storage reasons but hey we enjoyed them... So at the late hour of 9.30pm but after a 9hr session I exited stage right and left the boys with muted jeers of the club opens at 11pm until 4am..! Good luck boys I thought and walked back home... ... through a series of hairpin bends before descending to the small town of El Perello. All was going well until the route which Mandy had created and was following on the Garmin suddenly ran out of cycle-able road…oops…..so we had to walk a few 100m’s…..oh well, makes it much more of an adventure!! We climbed up the other side of the valley and were treated to breathtaking views across the olive groves and out to the sea.
