We had intended to get on the road early today but it was 10:05 before we actually woke up! ... at about 3:30pm and checked into The Queen's Guesthouse. Then set out to find a laundromat. We did find one, though it was about 1/2 hour walk away and when we got there it was shutting for the day-bother. Back to washing 3 days worth of clothes in the bathroom sink! Never mind. Today we drove the 2.5 hours from York to Windermere, through some of the most beautiful countryside ever. Green, rolling hills, large fields, farm houses, old, old stone walls, white sheep with black faces and rather large cows.
