The ferry crossing to Ile Sainte Marie was the most horrendous 2 hour journey of my life! I felt like I was dying. There were lots of people, lots of sick buckets and the boat was on its side for a lot of the crossing. ... br> At the Natural Pools in the far North we really were amazed by the beauty of the tropical nature. So many palmtrees, hills and a beautiful beach with lots of shells. And no other tourists. The only anoying fact is that when we arrived the locals jump in your neck to guide you and try to sell shells. We just wanted to dream away in this fantastic place. Solution: just ignore and walk, they give up!

... wich we would like to visit on our way back to Tana but as of right now, the destination is the island of Santa Maria and the chilled out atmosphere it supposedly provides. I was pretty tired during the whole trip but the view was so beautiful that I couldn't really sleep. We were up the mountains but everything was green. It looked like something off Jurassic Park.
