It is our last morning in Beautiful Bellagio and we wake up to rain which turns into thunder, lightning and then buckets of rain so all last morning activities are suspended. Luckily it all clears as we depart the hotel and catch the ferry to Varenna and then a train to Milan where we change trains for our destination Camogli which is at the north of Cinque Terre.

Luckily we had scouted the train station previously and were aware that the unmanned station has no ticket facilities ...

The other projects are very interesting. Everyone is taking similar, but different, approaches. Not sure how to explain that other than people are using similar elements to determine building shape and placement, but programming is slightly different and resolutions to ...

My last weekend of being in the villa

A travel blog entry by culauralynn on Sep 04, 2011

... Started a good sketch, which is different from just a sketch. I take more time on it. But it started raining (last night was the first rain we have had since we've been here. In fact I think the very first clouds). Came back to the villa. Did a very quick sketch instide the Villa, rain ended, went back out. Met Matisse, the neighborhood cat. A man on the street told me in Italian that was the cat's name and I understood him! Just wish I could speak it back. Terrible at pulling up ...
