A travel blog entry by newbygirl737 on May 14, 2015

Well we are on our way to the hamster derby with Oreo and Brownie. They were born for this moment and have been training hard for this day. They are now fast asleep but will have to be woken up to run the race. The girls made banners to hold up and are super excited. The race results will be posted later. Well it was a great race. Placed on a squiggly track the hamsters raced in two heats. The ...

We left Calgary this afternoon at 1:15 pm. It was yet another beautiful day in YYC. Our flight arrived early in Houston at 6 pm, 26C and sunny, and we had to wait for 20 minutes on the plane before we could get to a free gate to disembark from the plane. Taxi to the Super 8, and then we walked to our favourite restaurant, Pappa's Seafood. Excellent!! We sat at the bar ...

Houston required a LOT of driving. Although we liked the park we stayed at (having a ...

Before leaving Tampa, we added further to the US's slow GDP by purchasing a new cargo rack that plugs into the trailer hitch socket. Late in the plan prior to departing from home we decided to bring Mathew’s jogger and it hung from the minivans transom which made opening the back hatch a two-man operation.   So the day started with Paula and I purchasing a rack with "some assembly required".  The guys in the Pep Boys garage with several bays of ...

        ... behind "G/G" this morning.

We departed Livingston, LA about 9:30 and made our way toward Texas. I was driving because of all the bridges on that part of I-12 & 10. We crossed into Texas about 1pm and stopped at the Welcome Center. If you have never been to the Welcome Center on I-10, take a trip East just so you can turn around and stop there. Out front is a huge star (for Texas, of course) and out back they have a walkway out into ...
