... a bit of sleep. The crossing wasn't too bad considering the weather and I didn't feel as sick as I thought I might. I need to master walking around on the ferry tho as I'm sure people thought I was drunk - I just couldn't get my balance properly.

Once off the ferry at Roscoff we started the 3 hour journey down to Vannes. Jim did really well with the driving, the weather wasn't great and we kept having mini rainstorms. We arrived about 6pm to the campsite we ...

On my last evening in Saumur I ended up socialising at a couple of other motorhomes and didn't get back to my van until around midnight. Then it was very hot and the upshot was a disturbed night's sleep which meant I didn't feel too wonderful the next morning. We're up for breakfast by 7:30 and we seem to have a table for the tour group set up. Bags are to be at the van by 0845 and we're meant to be on our way by 0900. Well, almost, it is a holiday after all. One of our group broke her wrist some weeks ago and has not been cleared by her doctor to ride so she is doing the tour through a mixture of walking and riding in the van. We get away a bit after 9am. It's foggy this morning and ...

The sound of creaking floorboards at 6am was followed by the sound of Rose asking "Daddy can we go and play now." Certainly no chance of a holiday lie in today. After breakfast, Rose discovered a box of toys in the cottage that happily for us kept her amused for quite a while. Emily was the one causing most of the chaos, crawling around the house at rapid speed trying to find ornaments and household objects to ...
