... on time and well used by locals and tourists. Only drawback is the length of the walk from the stations to the centres. However, it is all under cover, enclosed and airconditioned with many moving walkways. The attention to detail and well maintained infrastructure is really well done here in Dubai.

... The sky was filled with many construction cranes. In preparation for World Expo 2020 in Dubai, 500 new hotels will be built to cater for the influx of visitors from around the world! The actual marina was quite small. The last area to visit before heading back to our hotel was The Palm. Constructed on landfill, the size was far larger than we imagined. We weren't expecting to see so many apartments and hotels either. At the top of the Palm was the imposing Atlantis Resort. ...

The trip took us out of the mouth of the creek where we hugged the coast line. We crossed Port Rashid and passed downtown Dubai where the Burj Khalifa towered above all other skyscrapers in the cluster. The mid-morning sun was catching the sand particles and there seemed to be a shroud of mist constantly surrounding this part of Dubai.

... until 6 so I had to wait a while and there was some right weirdos around! I swear one guy was taking pictures of me�� I moved out of there way, it started to get busier so I moved to the fence around the lake and eventually they came on, it was pretty cool!! Got some pictures but it didn't last very long! I then headed back into the mall to the metro and back to the hotel, I was shattered and got into bed pretty much straight away! My poor feet ...
