... them later we managed to identify Uranus by comparing it to a star gazing map. The town had a place called the Mount John Observatory which runs star gazing tours. Unfortunately we didn't get to do it due to the cost so instead we went up during the day to see the stunning views over the lake. We decided to dodge all the tourists after that and spent a few hours down by the lake with our deck chairs and no one in sight.
