Having laid over a extra day in Memphis due to car repair, we tried to make up time today. We drove about 425 miles today. Really a great travel day in that the sun was out, moderate temps. Getting the final repair to the car brakes today. We expect to leave in the morning for Texarkana, Tx and hopefully the sun. Did see the sun this morning in the drive over to the dealer. We drove out into the country yesterday afternoon. It gets very rural and flat very fast. Mostly see a farming economy. Expect to go into Memphis itself today to do some touring. On the road, ...

... terrific as always. Paul and Cindy are the most remarkable of hosts and we always love staying with them. It's so easy to stay at their house, they treat us like royalty, and we have so much fun spending time with them and their 2 kids Ben and Alexa. ... It was just so hot in Dallas, and being outside by a cool pool was exactly what I needed.

For dinner, I went to the hotel bar and ate chicken teriyaki which was delicious!!! It was nice watching sports and talking with people while I ate.

All in all, it was a really nice time in Dallas. It is such a nice city and even though it was a busy place, Dallas really didn’t feel that way. It was enjoyable to be there…even in the heat.
