So, regarding the Guggenheim, the structure itself is the most memorable art as opposed to what is inside. i don't consider myself an art aficionado though and I am certain that others would disagree with me. I found the nearby Museo de Bellas Artes de Bilbao much richer and more engaging.

I snuck one picture inside the Guggenheim and none in the Museo de Bellas ...

Got up super early to catch a bus to Bilbao to see the Guggenheim museum
before heading on to Mardid. I'm very glad I made the effort! It really is a very impressive building. There are just so many angles and sections to it, it's really hard to capture the full effect in a
photo. To me it looked like a huge ship crossed between a giant metallic flower or a shell. After wandering around the outside of it ...

As we approached for landing the plane flew low right over London and I could see the "Eye" and Buckingham Palace and Hyde Park. ... dizzy at times. After doing the museum we had about 1 1/2 hours before our bus to Santander so we decided to walk around the city a bit. We ended up having a taxi driver get us in the city center, take us back to the museum where we got our bags, and then give us a tour of the old city before bringing us to the bus museum.
