After the ambulance came and got this person on their way to the hospital I decided it was time to call it a night. The irony of the entire situation is how only a few days earlier I had been talking with a friend about how I missed working as an EMT and being actively being able to administer treatments and such. Careful what you wish ...

Well the first two weeks of freshman events is finally over and I have to admit it's been a blast! While I am slightly disappointed that I will no longer sharing all my "free time" with my fellow classmates running around town to fun events, enjoying program dinners, and drinking and dancing the night away at the latest party it also comes as a much needed relief. Not only have we shared all the ...

... but it was seriously pricey, so we settled for a day cruise instead. It was terrific going through the 5 locks to descend into the lake from the river, dropping 15 metres. We cruised around Boren Lake, then returned via the canals, going up. It's a great piece on construction, considering it was made in 1810-1833. Originally it was intended as a trail of retreat to the middle of the country, burning the locks as they went. Later on, it became a way of transporting goods on ...
