... steep hairpin bends up the escarpmentment and on to the plateau at the top.

A very helpful lady at the visitor centre gives us a map of the walking track and advises the must see places along the way. ... colourful little birds chirruping amongst the foliage - darting around so fast that they proved very difficult to capture on camera.Finishing my leisurely stroll around the gardens I carried on into town. ... we went over to Aggie's penthouse drank the bit out and hit the town. I bumped into Kim, a German girl I met on Fraser Island. Most of the night was a blur, some shed place and a backpacker place and an Irish bar with a stripper are the key points!! Up early the next day for my flight back to Melbourne, can't believe how quick it's gone. I'm looking forward to seeing people in Melbourne and starting my new job as a primary school teacher. ... an early walk to the top of Red Rock Headland and discovered that it signifies "Blood Rock" as an Aboriginal tribe had been cornered on the peninsula and forced to jump to their death to the rocky surf below...charming!
