    ... bus-stop to be accosted by taxi drivers keen to take us to our hotel. For once the driver had actually heard of our hotel, and as we looked around it we decided everyone should have heard of it; the hotel was stunning. We had again played the 'we're on honeymoon' e-mail in advance and it had done the trick "Welcome Mr and Mrs Dyer, we have upgraded you to a Superior room" - SCORE! We were very happy to find not only a beautiful fresh fruit platter awaiting us but chocolates and ...

    ... stayed there for a long time, then packed up to find my self some food - decided to check out the azeda praia.. how ever it wasnt half as good as the one i already was on - so i made my way back to joao fernandes - and had lunch by the sea - had fish and steak - and lovely mango juice. I have to admit , juices in Brazil are truly quite tasty.

    Just lazed around for a bit, and then made my way to Ferradura Praia... which is supposed ...

    ... of drinks at a couple of random bars. If you order a vodka tonic here, they fill your glass like 2/3īs full of vodka and then give you a can of tonic. Which is kind of cool since itīs a lot of vodka but then you only need like 1/3 of the can of tonic which they charge you for separately. I guess if you get more than 1 drink though itīs all good. I donīt really meet anyone at these places so I head over to the club I went to last ...

    ... costumes, dances etc, everyone learns the song off-by-heart, then they perform down the "main avenue" of the sambadrome This whole process may start in august for a top samba school, and require 1500 people min. Up to about 3500 people. The crowd dances and sings on the spot, its poor form to sit, and I can honestly say that from the excitement and awesomeness of the costumes - you find it difficult to keep still, there is a time limit from start to finish of 50 ...
