I went for a haircut to a unisex hairdresser to have a Number 2 to the great amusement of the staff and clientele, e.g. a lady having her nails done.
Most of us had pizzas at the hostel for dinner. I tried a batida which was a mixture of strawberry, cachaca, condensed milk and ice.

... our way to one of the islands off the coast. We set out to explore the tiny island and it's nice beach, which took approximately 2 minutes as it was so small. We soaked ourselves in the gorgeously warm sea before we set off on the paddle back in the strong sunlight. After finishing the tour and loading the kayaks back into their shed we made our way to the nearest bar on the beach for a well deserved drink or two. Bliss!

... jungle before. The water was super warm and super salty. I've since learned this is the norm for Brazil, or at least for the beaches I've been to since. The beach was surrounded by mountains which were covered in jungle, the water was green as well. We had a luscious swim and resumed our journey.
