By the time I packed, changed money -- and luckily there was exchange for Australian because I have run out of USD -- I already got a call from Easy Transfers pick-up for Paraty. Paraty is a beautiful colonial town with a very well preserved historical centre. It feels like stepping back into time with the cobblestone streets that are devoid of traffic. The striking thing about Paraty is the government have strived to keep its colonial building and streets in favour of bowing to tourism and modernising the town in ...

... which is why the buildings and streets are so well preserved. We also headed up to the fort which wasnt what we expected because the museum was about dancing and singing, but you did get a good view however and it was good to know about the traditional dances. We also walked along the towns beach which wasn´t the best but a quiet spot to have our lunch.
