... of places that tick all the boxes when it comes to hotels and hostels. We dropped off our bags and headed to the harbour to catch a boat to one of the beaches. The most famous beach here being Lopes Mendes . It's 30 reials return 40 min boat trip. The boats leave very hour from 9.30 am up until 11.30am and return 3.30pm every hour until 5.30pm. From Paraty we travelled to Ilha Grande which is a tropical island just off the coast. It is largely a national park and there are no cars, and only 8000 inhabitants.

... town was bustling with people. After another great dinner we headed to a hostel/bar for drinks. My shoulders and neck had been playing up so I only stayed for one drink.
