April 13th was even more hard and stressing than the day before... so much time at the beach, swimming pool... life can be so hard when you're in holidays....

For lunch we went to a nice restaurant by the hotel with a terrace right next to the beach and after lunch we went to the town to see it and to try to find some shoes as mine were a bit broken... but we saw 3 shoes shops, but I ...

... end to the day. The next day was our last full day in Sri Lanka, and we regrettably woke up a little hungover (or at least I did!), so took a cold shower and went off in search of breakfast. We headed via the Aladdin's cave shop (which was actually called Happy Tuna, the same as our guesthouse) to get my bag fixed, as the lining had started to rip, and we agreed to go back that evening to collect it. We had eggs and tea in one of the bars we had been in last night; probably not the ...

... leave! The social worker which works there explained the other day why the boys were in the remand unit. To me, their crimes, were pointless. These poor boys are kept in this home until they are 18, against their will, due to the petty crimes they have committed. Saying goodbye was really difficult. I felt a little lump in my throat and felt my eyes welling up. I loved getting to know the boys, they were such characters and I will always remember them and their ...
