The couple seem totally unfazed by the whole thing, and despite their assurances,- our lovely kind landlady Tamara is so worried about possible unpleasantness on Tripadvisor that she feels compelled to employ someone to be a night watchman in case of further attack. - I can't really imagine he will be back any time soon. ... rocks. If it breaks it brings good luck. About half the town consists of nothing but the stalls selling the fruit and brightly coloured garlands for offerings. Very few Europeans visit the Temple as although they visit Yala, it is usually such a flying visit that they don't have time for the town.

The remainder of the town seems to comprise 'Rests', accommodation for the pilgrims. Many of these are run by large organisations so there is a Ceylon Bank ...

This place is amazing! Main surf spot in Sri Lanka, it's just a long beach and plenty of beach side bars and rotti shops. Today was all about relaxing and sitting in the sun! At least until the evening where we met two Aussies and had a few ...
