We were unable to see the Aspendos Theatre as it has been closed for renovations, but we did see the reconstructed bridge and the aquaduct. As she said later, " you would have thought that as we aren't allowed to put loo paper in the loo, they would have provided a bin with a lid..." But I think that counts as advanced thinking.

My first impression is: Resort towns abound...almost feels like driving down any blvd in southern Florida...well not quite...we still pass the occasional Mosque with their minarets reaching for the heavens. And there are all the solar water heaters on top of EVERY ...

... renting a Turkish car is the best way to go ( although not a fiat I hear). One just has to be brave...and start out somewhere outside of Istanbul...and probably NEVER even attempt to drive within its boundaries...simply out-of-control! Anyway, Konya...I have picked up a couple of books that will help me understand more about who Rumi really was. I picked up a few silly souvenirs as well...and some Sufi music...we went to the Mevlani Museum ...
