... right size. We tried the last weeks to find shoes but to find shoes in the size 44/45 is a big problem in Ecuador. Here all people are short and have small feet, hihihihihihi… We will see if he will like his new shoes or get a lot of blisters.

... the monastery/museums. It was a great museum and I was the only one wandering around for most of time. Unlike my visit to the monastery in Arequipa, I bought the home made nun treats after my tour. ... mooie kerken zichtbaar. Cuenca was dus een mooie afsluiter voor onze korte, maar bijzonder leuke tijd in Ecuador. We waren oorspronkelijk van plan om tevens een bezoek te brengen aan de Pacifische kust, maar omdat we zeker voldoende tijd in voornamelijk Peru en Argentinië wouden overhouden, besloten we om dit niet te doen. Vanuit Cuenca nemen we vanavond een nachtbus richting Chiclayo in Peru, waar het echte Inca-avontuur ons te wachten staat!

... late afternoon on Sunday after a 5-hour bus ride, preparing to stay one night before heading on a 9 hour cross-border bus to Piura, Peru. Little did we know that Loja virtually shuts down on Sunday and is a bit of a dive. We found a cute little place that was serving 'cuy' – which is the delicacy of guinea pig.
