      ... out in the shade. Carmen still wasn't interested in the water but eventually we got her to come around to walking on sand. After a bit of play and a brief nap on my part, the sky started growing dark from the northeast. Just as we started to pack up and go, a rain storm blasted the beach scattering tourists everywhere. We waited it out a little while but then just gave up and tried to make the during lighter periods.

      ... they are not pies here, they are empanadas but essentially they are pastry wrapped around a filling. Cheap as can be and very, very tasty.

      Aude had booked a table for dinner at El Diez, an Argentinian steak house. The menu was a bit confusing, even comparing English, Spanish & French versions it was hard to determine the cuts of meat. Everyone took a guess on ordering and no one was disappointed.

      ... got up super early and went to Cozumel, an island about 30min away from Playa by ferry. We spent the morning exploring the town and the afternoon diving! We went with deep blue, which was a company suggested by our lonely planet book. They were really good, had great equipment and were nice people.       ... a pile of rubble. They have managed to put back together the same rocks and are still digging areas to find new pieces. They have also found other temples under the ground which are currently being exposed Valladolid was the next stop.
