... br> Today we woke up to glorious sunshine so after planning our next stop we headed to the beach for another chilled day as we thought the conditions weren't right for here for the not quite expert surfers that we are. However hope came in the form of a surf school class and after watching them for a while we headed to the surf board hire shop. The man in the shop assured us it was safe for beginners and it did look a lot quieter than yesterday so off we went.

... on the first one, the one he wasn’t sure would be open. It was called El Palenque, and we had a very nice dinner, with only a short walk back to the hotel afterward.

We managed to get photos and a small blog entry uploaded, which you’ve hopefully already seen, before it was midnight. Since we were getting picked up at 7:30 the next morning, we decided that was late enough.

FYI, I’m actually finishing this entry on the plane to Santiago on Monday, May ...

... with great cafe's, art galleries and awsome night clubs. The who's who of latin america summer here, kind of like the hamptons for New Yorkers. The beaches like "Bikini Beach" are often frequented by the rich and famous so ofcourse I went there to blend in and see if some of it rubbed of on me.

At night we visited the Conrad Casino which is where I worked for 4 years during its opening years.
