Today we went to the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse built in 1887. Surrounding the lighthouse are the original keepers' dwellings with historical artifacts. ( a lot of the tools there reminded me of my Dad) We climbed 203 steps to almost the top of 165 ft Lighthouse and got to walk around the top balcony. Drove to Daytona Beach,no stopping along the way. Nice hotel, right on the beach front. After we got organized off we trotted to the beach for a nice stroll, and a play in the waves, then back to the hotel to lay in the sun on the recliners before having a dip in the pool. Sloppy Joes restaurant is one of the places i really liked. I tried sloppy joe for the first time loved it!!! if you ok eating beef you should try it!!
