... found our way to the Trevi Fountain. (HOORAY) But guess what, the whole entire thing was surrounded by scaffolding and glass panels, and so you couldn't go near it. Although there was scaffolding and we couldn't go in, we still through a penny over our shoulder and made a wish except the coin didn't reach the water. After this we then caught another metro to the Spanish steps. And once again there were scouts as far as the eye could and the ...

We weaved our way through the small streets and piazzali, passing a fruit and Veg market then the fish market. ... distance and decided to head to some thing indoors after a quick lunch. We chose to go to the Ca'Rezzinico museum, which is basically a palace. What is funny is that the entry level has two mini courtyards that open up to the sky that you have to walk through before you can enter the museum. By the time we made it to Ca'Rezzinico, the rain had started to pour like crazy. There were drains in the courtyard but the rain was so much that they were overflowing! We followed the ...

... fortune to be there relatively early in the day, when it was not too crowded. From there we wandered west along the Grand Canal through the San Marco district and crossed at Ponte Academia into the Dorsoduro district. We walked back eastward along the southern side of the Grand Canal, past the Chiesa Santa Maria della Salute toward the Punta della Dogana. Located at the eastern tip of Dorsuduro, Punta della Dogana ...
