Playa del Carmen is only 75 minutes away from Cancún.

Maya / Toltec ruins of Tulúm was a small and felt like a park with walkways well defined. It was the setting on the 12-meter / 39 ft tall cliffs cliff top that impressed me. Otherwise just a pile of rocks.

The iguanas certainly brought back my memories of 2 years ago same time when I was in the Galapagos Islands.

... night out! The food was great :) Once we were ready we set off to coco bongos, there was quite a que outside but it didn't take long to get in. It had cost us 60 dollars but it was an open bar all night! We had a good location at the side of the lower level which was all standing, round the side were seats and tables for people who had opted for those instead of being down on the floor. The show was great, it was split into 24 separate ...

... roll, Vietnamese salad and snapper in a tamarind and chili sauce. None of it quite hits the heights to which it aspires but it's tasty enough and we notice that the sushi dishes various other guests order look pretty darn good so we'll be sampling that during our stay. Our fellow diners are a mix of Mexican families here for the festive break, the teenagers all glued to their mobiles, and Americans of various hues including, from a distance, a super-sized Bette Midler. ...
