... room at the newly built/ still being constructed, Island Dive Resort and headed off to the pier for our boat day trip. Our guide for the day was an absolute joke of a character, one of a kind! This Thai gent had somehow picked up a cockney accent, used lots of hand gestures and was extremely flamboyant. To begin with we were slightly taken back but by the end of the trip we found him very endearing and comical. We won't forget him in a hurry! The first stop ...

After spending 4 nights in the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, we decided to head down to the south of Thailand for a bit of R&R!!! We booked the Lomprayah bus and catamaran combo down to Koh Tao at a cost of 1100baht each (£22) which involved setting our alarm for 4:40am, to be at the Lomprayah office for 5:30am and to leave Bangkok at 6am! There are a few different companies that do similar services to this but we had heard bad things about ...

The next day however I did get a police statement and hopefully all will ...

... and fearless little boys, went to town with twirling fire-covered double-sided staff, and dancing to any tracks that came on. It looked amazing, and kept us entertained / mesmerised for hours (watch the video to see what we mean).

Koh Tao was amazing, and I'd have loved to stay on the island for a few more days to get a massage, and chill out at Aow Leuk some more. Instead we had a 5am start to begin our next trek to Krabi - our third ...

... Tiki and Pedro we decided to go out for our last dinner together. We walked to their place (they were staying close to Sairee) because we also wanted to get to know this part of Ko Tao.

Sairee is much nicer because you have the sand beach and it’s full of life right next to it, restaurants, resorts, shops but not big crowds of people so still a good vibe. We went to eat to a BBQ place that Pedro recommended. The place was full and we even had to wait to be ...
