Arrivederci Italia

It was the last day, that great day of our travels... The Church in Italy bid us "Arrivederci" on the beach releasing one balloon for each person here for the celebration. It was quite a sight. Now it is evening/almost morning and everyone is celebrating around the Piano Man. We leave for Paris tomorrow at 2:30pm.

Church services were an hour early so we could leave for the Rome Tour. Alan Hambleton spoke on Spiritual Refreshment. David Witt's sermon focused on how the use of our time today has everything to do with our future. We ate a quick sack lunch that the hotel packed for us and we left around 11:30. Once we arrived in Rome we ...

Slowing Down a "Little"

Sabbath activities included a stroll along The Med, after morning services. We experienced the highest wave action to date but it was not anything too severe. And Saturday night, the girls performed in a talent show. Today's activities included Beach ...

Sixth Day

Services were in Italian. Giovanni (a young adult we met but don't know his last name) spoke on truth and love. Angelo Di Vita's sermon focused on how each family is a church and the duties of the head of the household. After church we took a nap and then we walked into Sabaudia. We ate dinner at a pizza shop. The price and the food was excellent. We knew the hotel's restaurant was going to be having fish for the second night in a ...

Fifth Day - Sabbath

We sang "Psalm 19" during church services. David Schreiber gave the sermonette over focusing on how to be a neighbor not who is our neighbor. Ken Martin's sermon was titled "The way of Cain". After church we hung out with friends and talked after church. We took a nap and talked to the parents on the phone. The talent show was that night. It started at 9 and went past midnight.

Fourth Day - Vatican Tour

Our bus left for the Vatican around 7:30. We only had a few hours to walk around the entire museum so we chose not to stay with our tour guide. All the art work was breath taking and over whelming. We ran out of time but we were able to see most of it. We miss St. Peter's Basilica. We couldn't take pictures in the Sistine Chapel but ...

The Beach and the Streets of Sabaudia

Can you hear that? It is the sound of the Mediterranean lapping just outside... with the nearly full moon high is the night sky. A pretty relaxing day... picking up shells and getting some sun. The water is incredibly clear. The sand is a very dark compared to Florida. The water is ...

Halloween Night

... door and their was a scratch along the side of the other car. Neither of the two Italians spoke very good English and I was in shock. I was sure getting an earful in Italian. Luckily my friend Heather was there so she ran inside and grabbed our program leaders Jen and Federica. Federica is Italian so she talked to the man and got everything sorted out. I was so lucky to have them! I was very upset ...
