... i said I wasn't a little nervous. For one, we jumped into the back of a ute which had some seats stuck in the back and a make shift roof. Secondly. my most recent dive experience in Melbourne left a lot to be desired (i was in tears at home after it, and felt like complete rubbish). We arrived at the pier in Ao Nang and were greeted by some really hot and fit looking Swedish people. To suggest that I was intimidated is an UNDERSTATEMENT. Mum was freaking out as well, ...

    Ko phi phi island.

A travel blog entry by laracamille on Jan 31, 2014

... so wasn't too hot but every now and again we would get a bit of sea spray in our faces to wake us up! Took abo 2 hours to get to Ko phi phi and to out hostel but we couldn't check in until 1 so we just sat in the shade until we could check in. The room is okay but not as nice as the last place, we are use to luxury now! We spent the afternoon sunbathing by the pool and ...

... big). All I think is that my bag is going to end up in the sea. Then I ask if the boat is going to Ao Nang. No no, and they point to to boat beside it. Off comes my bag. Me and my bag get safely on the other boat. It's much smaller and less crowded than the one I took over from Phuket. We make our way to Ao Nang which is about 2 hours. As we get closer the boat stops. The tide is too low for the boat to go into the pier. They bring out long boats to transfer to. We are in the middle of ...

    Phi Phi

A travel blog entry by robby72 on Dec 23, 2013

Not a good nights sleep to hot and we didn't have any water and noise. Phi Phi isn't really what we'd expected. Thought it would be a peacefully island, which I guess parts of it are but the main area is like Ibiza with rubbish music. We walked/hiked to the viewpoint which was worth the sweating and huffing and puffing. We stopped for photos and a drink and decided to walk over the island to another beach for lunch. Not the best idea we'd had ...

Ao Nang, Thailand: Birthday Boats & Beers

A travel blog entry by samber on Dec 15, 2013

... we were there? You betcha. What did we do? We spent A LOT of time in the Irish bar playing pool and when we weren't there you could find us at one of the bars overlooking the beach promenade people watching. One advantage of it being chav central - people watching was fabulous. We ate a lot, drunk a lot and slept a lot. Another plus is that it's a gateway to a host of islands located a short distance from the coast and of course the famous Railey Beach. On my Birthday day of fun ...
