It turns out the curtains in our rooms are amazing black outs as we all didn't wake up until 1pm! We headed to the beach minus Katy dealing with a disgusting hangover! Surrounding our hotel there are so many bars, restaurants and proper shopping centres it's really refreshing to be surrounded by a bit of normality. We spotted an Irish pub and went in without hesitation welcoming home comforts! It was Sunday so there was a roast buffet but we hadn't even had ...

... cleaners that collect smaller waste. There are girls looking for customers .... but most of the women are just dancing and drinking a lot .... and they stay especially among themselves, snubbing men, locals and tourists. ... few days ago I realised that if I wasn't coming to visit Auntie Dot I would probably not come to Phuket as the area in which you would stay as a tourist is veryyyy over crowded and bustly and the beach is constantly packed. In saying that, it is something you must see when you are in Phuket. The girls I met from Newcastle while in Koh Phangan arrived in Phuket on Saturday, they are staying in Patong and I have booked myself into the same hostel as them ...

We generally just had a relaxing day, walking around the city, shopped a bit, then had a bite to eat. We went in to town for the evening on the courtesy bus from the motel, had drinks and a show, then walked back home.
It was nice to do very little.
Patong beach is very congested, ...

Kirsty came, and now she's gone. And so ends two weeks of pure rest and relaxation, a little bit of luxury, a lot of piña coladas, three islands, two horrible moments and now I'm all alone in a random town called Chalong attempting to become the worlds greatest masseuse. From bumping into elephants (the one time i went out without camera or phone!) and Elvis in the street, we had a lovely time in Kata Beach. Very much a family package holiday kind of place ...
