... 250m above sea level. It is largely an organic winery and part of their approach sees them use orange ties on the vines that contain a pheromone that repels egg laying butterflies. Inside the winery, preserved in a case in the floor is an interesting old wine press. The winery was started by two brothers and Juan was the winemaker until he was killed in a car accident five years ago. Juan also taught at a wine school so the winery employed one of his best ...

... at the knife store. Realizing we were getting tired, we had gone about 7 miles by now, we decided to stop for dinner at a tapas place we passed by. The restaurant was very artsy, the food good (no more) and the waiter a bit frenzied, to say the least. Ang had the info booklet and earphones and Craig the map and note pad. The route took 2 hours ...

... there is no long bus trips to catch up on blogs. It may just be brief summary with photos if I get time. So back to Barcelona. We walk to catalunya & with some difficulty & once again me asking for directions we find the tourism booth. We pick up our Barcelona cards which is two days travel card, hop on & off buses & cable car tickets. Absolute rip off. The card doesn't cover entry into all the museums like the Paris one did. A book of ...

Today we went to Sagrada Familia and Park Guell - both designed by Guadi. I've seen them both before, but they were just as good this time. We caught the metro to SF. We didn't want to wait to go inside SF - it is amazing from the outside! Very intricate and detailed. From there, we walked up to GP and waited a while to get in. It was amazing - the mosaics are beautiful. We caught the metro back to the beach and met Jillian's friends Fran and Franco for a drink in ...
