The celebration of me!

... very full and also a little tipsy. We made our way on food to plaza Espana to see the magic fountain. It was filled with people because there was also a Harley Davidson convention. We sat with our bottle of cava and watched the fountain and the people. The fountain put on a show with music and lights. It was very cool. After this, Mat was shattered so said good bye. We decided to stay out because I hadn't had my birthday cocktail ...

Shortly after leaving, we raised the mainsail, and then noticed that the mainsheet had been badly damaged on a previous voyage. Our skipper, Jeff, decided to sail the 50km distance to Barcelona under power with assistance from the jib whenever possible. For about half the trip, we ...

... the menu so the lovely waiter offered to order for us, enough tapas for 3 people. With a jug of sangria this sounded good. The food was good and the Sangria great. All feeling content we asked for the bill ready to head to the fountains….when the bill came we all fell off our seats!! Over 100 euros!! Well over our backpacking budget. Lesson learnt….when you can’t read the menu move on….dont let any Spanish order ...
