YEUP, went for a canopy tour today, so much fun!!! Before I got clipped in, we went for a 2 hour walk on I think 6 hanging bridges, the last one so freakin long, you can't see the end. Very bouncy walk but also very cool time way up in the canopies of Monteverde. Afterwards, in line for the zip line tour.... I have to say I was a bit nervous at first, we could feel the wind really pushing us around ...

... and watched a parade of different birds coming by: toucanettes, Mot Mots, woodpeckers, and even a couple of parrots! Along with other treats from home (Trader Joe's Trail Mix, yeah!) they brought an egg dying kit so the girls could dye Easter eggs! We weren't sure how it would work on brown eggs, but the colors actually turned out beautifully. It was great having them here to celebrate Easter with us!

... that brought us to the Santa Maria's wildlife area for our night tour. We were each given a small flash light to walk around with. We saw a tarantula, snake, and incaju (?). It was funny that we didn't see a sloth because it was all Bernhard wanted to see and he didn't get to see it! Oh, that slutty sloth sloth. haha! By the time we got back into Sleepers, we were all so exhausted. I had a quick shower to get ready for tomorrow's adventures.

The day included a cooked morning tea / snack, fresh pineapple and watermelon break during the rafting then another home cooked hot lunch of traditional fare. The plate was a leaf on a wooden platter! If you didn't want "rice and beans" then the other option was "beans and rice"!
