After staying the night not too far from Trebic's town centre, we decided to walked in to take a closer look. Roamed through the main street before heading up a nearby hill overlooking the town. ... tour of the local sites. We climbed up a 100 foot tower to see the views including the "ponds" built hundreds of years ago for fish farming. We found an old Mill and located the Jewish Cemetery where I scaled the 7 foot walls to have a walk around. The last burials were in 1942 due, no doubt, to the end of the Jewish population here. After that just some poking around the tourist shops in town and a very nice Czech dinner. They make a mean Garlic Soup ...
